IMT A290 Contact us for pricing and additional information IMT A290 Hydraulic Drilling and Piling rig IMT A290 cylinder crowd system mounted on IMT base with a hydraulically extensible crawler undercarriage from 2900 mm to 4250 mm, suitable to carry out piles of a maximum diameter of 2300 mm at a maximum depth of 75 m, depending on the requested Kelly bar. Machine composed of: BASE MACHINE The rig is equipped with a C13 Caterpillar diesel engine with a power of 446 HP (328 kW) and is following the TIER III regulations “U.S. EPA Non-Road Regulation”. The undercarriage is Caterpillar TC330 VH Lite type, equipped with shoes of a width of 800 mm and has a length of 6010 mm and a width of 4300 mm. In the transportation phase the undercarriage is hydraulically closed to a width of 3000 mm. The base machine has been optimized in its structure and systems so as to obtain top performance in all drilling phases. The machine is equipped with two Rexroth Load-Sensing pumps with maximum pressure of 35MPa and a delivery of 2x300 l/min for the main functions (rotary, winches, travel) and a Parker Load Sensing pump with maximum delivery of 120 l/min. and a maximum set pressure of 24 MPa for all uses with low power consumption (rotary translation cylinder, boom cylinders, mast lifting cylinders, etc). CABIN The control cabin was conceived to guarantee top operator comfort. It is equipped with automatic air conditioning and adjustable operator seat. All the controls are located to ensure easy activation. The main joysticks, located on the right and left seat arm rests, control the upper rotation, main winch, rotary, cylinder, rotary translation and speed change. The cabin is equipped with a display for the engine functions and a display with which it is possible to check drilling data such as tool depth, mast verticality. ARTICULATION The articulation is a parallelogram-type articulation. The boom, rafters and triangular element are made in special-quality steel and are operated by two hydraulic cylinders so as to move the working axis from 4.080mm to 4.900mm from the rotation axis (in order to position the machine on the drilling point without losing mast verticality. MAIN WINCH The main winch is located on the base of the machine and is made up of a drum with special groove, gearbox, axial piston motor and a control block for the automatic advancement of the Kelly bars during drilling and the automatic blocking of the winch when the tool reaches the bottom of the hole. The main winch has a rope diameter of 30 mm, maximum pull force of 270 kN and a maximum speed of 58 m/min AUXILIARY WINCH The auxiliary winch is located inside the triangular element and is made up of a gearbox, drum with special groove and an axial piston hydraulic motor. Cable diameter 22mm, maximum pull is 120 kN and the maximum speed is 80 m/min. MAST The mast is made of three sections, in special, high-resistance steel operated by 2 large-sized hydraulic cylinders. The mast can be slanted 5° to the right and left and can be slanted 5° to the front and 15° to the back. The derrick is a linear type head with two pulleys for the main cable and two for the auxiliary cable. The maximum pile diameter is 2300mm. CYLINDER CROWD SYSTEM Crowd force push - 300 kN Crowd force pull - 390 kN Crowd cylinder stroke - 6400 mm ROTARY The IMT A290 is equipped with a rotary that transmits to the Kelly the torque that is generated by the two hydraulic motors and by the push-pull generated by the translation cylinder. The rotary is oil-bathed, and the torque passes from the hydraulic motors to the two power shifts, to two gearboxes and then to two pinions that work on a crown. The crown surrounds a tube (fixed Kelly bar) with internal elements for the transmission of the torque on the external rod. The rotary supplies a nominal torque of 290 kNm with a rotation speed that ranges from 12 to 25 rpm. The discharge speed ranges from 72 to 105 rpm. KELLY BAR The interlocking Kelly bar for this rig is an heavy duty type 4 elements with a maximum depth of 42 meters with a square joint 200 x 200 mm, made with special steel. Other Kelly bars available on request up to 74 meters maximum.
