Deskripsi
The truck is a 1993 GMC TOPKICK, Gas 366 fuel injection engine, automatic Allison transmission. Running well, good brakes, news tires, newer bed, newer paint. No need for a Commercial Driver’s License. Set up with many tool bins and racks for sign work. Built in acetylene O2 torch cylinder storage. Nice truck
GARLAND 80-foot sign crane max weight 4800 pounds, one man basket, manual outriggers. Load line. Runs well, has 2 12V D8 batteries, and a great Miller Charger welder. This packs a lot of punch in a smaller truck that, at $30K is half or less of the price of a similar diesel truck.
Garland Goliath Model 80 4 tube 24-volt Hydro/Electric
Vertical Reach - 80 feet when mounted on truck.
Retracted Boom Length – 72 feet, measured from the hinge pin to the outer end of the telescopic boom.
Rotation – 360 degrees continuous in any direction. Rotation speeds are variable and driven by a Baldor 24-volt motor. The dual spur gear rotations are equipped with 2 fail-safe automatic solenoid operated brakes and a manual override so the brakes may be opened manually.
Boom Elevation – Elevated from horizontal to 85 degrees above horizontal at any speed, but in as little as 38 seconds mounted on a 2-axis gimbal. The cylinder has the ability to boom up with any load, at any working radius, within the safe operating capacity of the boom.
Motors – 24-volt series wound, high torque, reversible, direct current,
Load Line – 1.3 H.P. 24-volt motor Baldor 31-163-88
Boom Extension – 1.3 H.P. 24-volt motor Baldor 31-163-88
Boom Raise – Hydro/pump– 1.6 H.P. 24-volt motor Baldor 31-163-174
Rotation – 0.63 H.P. 24-volt motor Baldor 27-568-11873
Boom Extension – For safety the Garland Goliath crane is equipped with 8 ¾” diameter double cable drum on the boom extension winch box. In Addition, Cables are compounded to provide 4 strands acting within the tubes for quadrupled strength. This unique cable arrangement has been granted U.S. Patents No. 2571858 and No. 2669625.
Cable Sizes
(8 ½” tube) – Stationary
(7” Tube) – 4 flights 7/16” 6x 25P IWRC ex. Improved plow steel cable.
(5 ¾” Tube) - 4 flights 3/8” 7 X 19 aircraft cable
(4 ½” tube) - 4 flights 5/16” 7 X 19 aircraft cable
Boom Extension Lock - A Safety locking rack which engages the extension cable- drum bull-gear is provided to positively lock the boom tubes in the extended position for lifting large loads.
Telescopic Boom- Tubes are seamless, 4130 chrome-molybdenum, cold drawn, mechanical tubing with a minimum yield of 90,000 psi and minimum 15% elongation in 2 inches.
Tube Sizes -

3rd Tube5 3/4” Diameter C 5/16” wallChrome-moly
4th Tube4 ½” Diameter C 5/16” wallChrome-moly
Boom Cable Sheaves – Steel with replaceable bronze Bearings. bronze bearings are used in place of ball or roller bearings due to their higher load capacity in the restricted space available in boom cable sheaves.
Load Line Cable – 3/8” 7x10 aircraft cable wound on an 8 ¾” diameter cable-drum.
Load Line Sheave – Steel with Ball Bearings.
Gears – 20 degree and 14 ½ degree steel and cast steel.
Winch box Bearings – Self Aligning ball bearings on all shafts.
Brakes – fail-safe (normally closed) automatic solenoid operated brakes with manual override control.
Hinge Pin – 2-inch diameter located approximately 50 inches above the truck bed.
Central Electric Controls – Mounted on the left side of the base within an area 16 X 24 inches. All cranes equipped with master cut off switch.
Base – Rotek H 7-35N1 bearing with 125,000 lbs. moment load capacity with a working factor of 3 and a safety factor of 10.
Power Supply - The crane is powered by 2 heavy duty 12-volt batteries with a rating not less that 205 ampere/ hours. The batteries may be charged by a modified 200-amp D>C> welder generator with a 28-volt charging unit.
Optional Equipment – Remote Controls
Oil tight, dead-man switches are used on the remote-control panel located in the work-platform (basket). The control panel is provided with a disconnect so that the panel and remote cable can be stored when not in use. The remote cable is reeled in and out by an Appleton Spring Loaded reel. All crane operations may be controlled from either the remote station or the main controls on the left side of the crane base.
Work basket
Self leveling, fabricated from steel, measuring 24” X 21” X 44”. Includes a safety belt and tail line. Weight approximately 100 pounds including yoke.
Auxiliary Load Line
Full electric 2nd load lone with manual override brake.
