Cold Feeds:
This four-compartment cold feed system has 10’ x 8' top openings with bin extensions and dividers for added capacity, along with a side walkway. The bins have 24” wide and 9’ long belt feeders powered by 3 hp A.C. motors. The collecting conveyor is 30” x 45'. A 24" x 45', 10 hp conveyor feeds materials up to the dryer.
RAP System:
This single-compartment recycle system has a 13’ x 8' top opening with a grizzly. The bin has a 24” wide and 9’ long belt feeder powered by a 3 hp A.C. motor. The intermediate feed conveyor is 30” x 30' and feeds a double roll Gentec RAP Gator, which sits over a 3' x 8' single deck scalping screen (screen removed). A 30" x 60', 10 hp weigh bridge conveyor feeds materials up to the dryer.
Dryer:
The collector conveyor delivers materials to a gravity chute with a reject chute on the dryer breaching. The dryer shell is in excellent condition, with a .425 average thickness. The assembly is 8' in diameter and 30’ long. The flights are in fair condition. The chain drive system is powered by a 75 hp motor through a Rex gearbox. A Hauck SJO 360 burner with a 75 hp blower operates on diesel or natural gas with a Maxon gas train.
Hot Elevator and Batch Tower:
The vertical hot aggregate bucket elevator uses a double-strand 6” pitch roller chain with 10” x 18” buckets. A 25 hp motor powers the bucket elevator. The batch tower is a Cedarapids (G 60A) 6,000 lb. unit. The Deister screen deck is inclined with 4 1/3 decks and is powered by a 30 hp motor. There are four hot bins. The pugmill has a capacity of 6,000 lbs and is driven by a 100 hp motor. The arms, tips, paddles, and liners are in fair condition.
Dust Control:
Dust control is provided by a large vertical cyclone over the dryer. Fines from the knockout box are returned to the hot elevator via a chute. The baghouse is a Standard Havens Size 28 pulse jet design. The bags are 6” in diameter and 16’ long, with approximately 12,096 sq ft of cloth rated at 63,000 acfm at 5.5-1. The Astec fan is powered by a 200 hp motor. The baghouse is complete with all ductwork, an automatic outlet damper, and a stack with a test platform. Dust is removed from the baghouse via a single auger through a rotary vane feeder and then taken to the hot elevator via an additional auger. A later model Quincy screw-type air compressor with a surge tank is included. The baghouse is in above-average condition.
Liquid AC System:
There is a Heatec HAO-32S (SN# 64020 / 3-84) 32,000-gallon direct-fired/coiled skid-mounted liquid asphalt tank with a 20 hp plant pump and a 20 hp unloading pump. All plumbing is included. A Heatec HC 120 dual fuel hot oil heater is also included.
Fuel:
A skid-mounted double-wall fuel tank with plumbing is included.
Silo System:
A Standard Havens 200-ton asphalt storage system is included. The silo is insulated and skinned, with a round gob hopper and dual clamshell gates. The 400 TPH drag conveyor with 32" slats and double chain is portable, with a midpoint reject gate (there is no heat on the floor). A 10' x 60' set of portable steel deck weigh beam scales are used to weigh the trucks.
Control House and Controls:
The control house is a site-built, two-level building and is not moveable. The controls are newer Astec batch plant blending controls that need to be installed (They are partially installed now). Astec weigh mate loadout controls and Astec BC 3300 burner controls. The motor control center is located downstairs, with individual breakers mounted on the wall.
