These drum mulchers punch into and pulverize trees up to 8 inches in diameter. The lineup of drum mulchers replaces the forestry cutter attachments. The drum mulchers are available in 50-inch, 61-inch and 72-inch cutting widths. Approved carriers are 700-Sries and 800-Series compact track loaders and skid-steer loaders with high-flow hydraulics. Heavy-Duty Carbide Teeth: Heavy-duty carbide teeth on the standard rotor drum rip through hard and soft woods, providing long life and uptime protection. Depth Control Rings: Depth control rings on the optional drum limit engagement of the cutting teeth for more efficient operation and a consistent mulch. (Available on the 50-inch and 61-inch drum mulcher). Two-Speed Hydraulic Motor: Two-speed hydraulic motor delivers increased drum torque and automatically shifts to meet the demands of every job. A single-speed motor is also available with a 61-inch drum. Compact Size: Compact size of the drum mulcher accommodates any tree removal job. Reinforced Push Bar: Reinforced push bar and optional low-profile front gate provide optimal visibility to the drum and cutting teeth. Hydraulic Drum Brake: Hydraulic drum brake brings the drum to a stop within 20 seconds after deactivating the auxiliary hydraulics. Redesigned Hydraulic Block & Drive Components: Redesigned hydraulic block and drive components enhance durability. Bolt-On Skid Shoes: Bolt-on skid shoes are replaceable for greater convenience and operator uptime. Durable Connection Points: Durable connection points are designed for long-term operation and operator uptime. Pressure Gauge: Pressure gauge, standard on the 50-inch and 61-inch drum mulcher, allows operators to better monitor drum speeds. Hose Clamps & Hose Sling: Hose clamps and hose sling protect hydraulic hoses from kinking, contact wear and entanglement. Rear Debris Chains: Rear debris chains obstruct debris thrown toward the rear of the attachment. Forestry Applications Kit: Designed to protect you and your investment in the toughest conditions, the forestry applications kit must be installed on the loader to operate the forestry cutter attachment. The exclusive forestry door protects you from flying debris and objects. Other benefits include ISO 3449 Level II Falling Object Protective Structure (FOPS) and debris guards for muffler, lights and hydraulic components. The forestry applications kit includes: Fire Extinguisher: Mounted in the cab for quick access in an emergency. Forestry Door (3/4-inch laminated polycarbonate): The forestry cutter attachment will not operate without the door installed. Emergency exit allows removal of front door, if necessary. Front and Rear Light Guards: Ensures branches and debris won't break lights. Hydraulic Quick Coupler Guard: The guard, along with no exposed fittings on the hoses, helps protect the couplers, hoses and wire harness from falling trees and branches. Level II FOPS: (meets ISO 3449) Protects operator and cab from falling trees and objects. Muffler Guard: Protects tailpipe from damage and reduces material buildup in the engine compartment (except on Tier 4 Forestry Application Kits).
