1948 Ford 8N Tractor. This Tractor proudly sits in Seller's Museum and they have decided to sell it to the next collector. This is no disappointments and is a beautiful restoration and a well runningTractor. Here are a few bullet points: Engine serial number is 9N80900. The steering box is not the early one used on first year 8N tractors. It is the improved box used on 49 and later tractors. The Dash panel is from 1949 to 1950. The date code on the left rear axle reads 914D. Which translates to April 14, 1949. The date code on the right axle appears mostly obscured but could be either a 48 or 49 date. Rear axles in 1949 were upgraded with additional axle seals to prevent gear leaking oil on the brakes. It would appear they have been updated on this tractor. The PTO has been upgraded from the original 1- 1/8 diameter to the current standard 1-3/8. That would be a bonus if ever you want to use PTO power equipment. You would not need to buy an adapter. This Tractor has remained with one family from new and has been completely refurbished and restored to brand new condition. Features include Dual headlights, rear power takeoff, three-point hitch, grill guard with a front tow bar, rear, half fenders and running boards. Six bolt front and eight bolt rear wheels have been finished in white and mounted with 6.00–16 inch Carlisle farm specialist tires upfront and 11.2 x 28“ Carlisle six ply tires at the rear. Braking is handled by independent rear drums. Gasoline powered 120 CI side -valve in-line four-cylinder rated at 21 hp and 84 lb-ft of torque. Four speed manual transmission.
