Description
The Warren Model GS mounts in place of conventional dump body tailgate with dump body inside widths of 84” or 87” and tailgate height of 30” . The endplates are made of a minimum of 10 gauge ASTM-A570 steel with internal bracing, bottom plate 7 gauge ASTM-A570 STEEL. A single lift point hook shall be mounted to main rear panel for convenient handling of spreader.
Feedgate and Controls: The feedgate is the Quadrant type in 1’ segments. The gate openings are capable of individual operation from the outside. Feedgates are controlled by dual control levers one on each of unit. Control lever is 1” schedule 40 black pipe and is to be 47” long. Feedgate segments are secured to a single rotating member by means of a removable pin. Pins are chain secured. Control levers have a 4 position lock pin so that feedgate can be positively held in a set position.
Operators Platform: Mounted to rear panel of spreader at an angle which would make platform approximately horizontal with the ground when dump body is elevated to a position where aggregate will flow to spreader. Platform is 20” wide and machine punched with a skid-resistant surface, with 1-1/2” diameter pipe hand rails at each end with a 3/16” chain guard rail across the back. Chain is covered by a durable hose for further protection of the operator.
Mounting Hardware: Lower latch pin is 1-1/4” diameter and positioned to catch dump body tailgate latch. Upper hinge brackets are shipped loose for weld-on field installation to fit dump body tailgate height.
Paint: Body is properly cleaned with hi-pressure hot phosphate cleaner, 2 coats of primer sealer and finish with lead free Omaha Orange enamel.
Options: 6” , 12”, 18” & 24” gate extensions for tailgate heights over 30” , for up to 56” gate heights.
