Drive Axle • Meritor drive axle provides excellent lateral stability. The drive axle and multiple wet disc brakes with oil cooling help offer exceptional reliability. Steer Axle • Reliable steer axle has a tapered roller bearing wheel hub mounting and a bronze bushing spindle mounting. Also, a single cylinder and fixed tie rods help increase maneuverability. • Articulation buffers for improved ride. Brake System • Fully hydraulic actuation (no air system). • Drive axle has wet disc brakes which are oil cooled for longer life. • The park brake is a dry disc which is located on the input shaft to the drive axle. • Brake system is equipped with its own 10 micron oil filter. Hydraulic System • Tandem gear pumps regulate the oil flow so that the hoist and auxiliary equipment operate at an optimum speed. • Load-sensing priority valve supplies fluid to steering and diverts the rest of oil to lifting functions. • Hydraulic return lines are equipped with 2-full-flow 20 micron filters to reduce foaming. And they are easily accessible when servicing is needed. • Hydraulic oil cooler extends hydraulic component life. • Power-assisted hand controls use a seperate pilot pump supply. • Grouped pressure check ports speed servicing. • 60.6 gallon hydraulic tank. Carriage Equipment • Unique pin-type carriage features sliding forks providing increased movement and wider fork positioning range. • Optional, multi-purpose hook-type carriage affords quick front-end equipment changes for greater flexibility to handle a wide variety of loads. Operator’s Cab • Easy on/off access. Both cab doors have sliding windows for more ventilation. • Fully adjustable full-suspension seat with armrests. • Operator’s cab rests on elastomeric isolators for reduced vibration.
