Description
1980 John Deere 8640 runs strong, Had 800ish hours on rebuilt engine but i have no paperwork to prove that. Had injection pump annd hydraulic outlets rebuilt in 2017 and new turbo this year. I believe the syncros are shot on the topshaft in the transmission because 1-2 gears do not engage but 3-4 gears and reverse work just fine. Have been running it that way for many years. We had intentions to fix it and have a complete transmission from a parts tractor that will go with it.
